Westbrook is one of New Zealand’s oldest and most respected boutique wineries. Our skilled winemaker James Rowan combines time-honoured traditional and innovative techniques to produce hand-crafted multi-award-winning wines including outstanding Chardonnays and Rieslings. Grapes are sourced from our home vineyard, twenty acres of park-like grounds set in picturesque Waimauku, as well as single vineyards in Marlborough and Waiheke Island. The fruit is hand-picked and the juices carefully blended to produce iconic wine styles that show the incredible depth, diversity and flavours of New Zealand.

Bookings are highly recommended for weekends and public holidays, and essential for large groups.
We are CLOSED for Christmas (25 & 26 December), New Years (01 & 02 January), Good Friday (Easter) and ANZAC Day (25 April).

The Westbrook Story

Nestled in the beautiful Ararimu Valley, just a short and pretty drive from downtown Auckland, Westbrook is one of New Zealand’s oldest and most respected boutique wineries. The story begins in Croatia, with the renowned wine-making Ivicevich family planted their first grapevines and started to create a name for themselves. Their success and reputation followed them as they moved to New Zealand in 1904 and went on to establish their first Sunnyvale vineyard in West Auckland in 1935 and then later the Waimauku home vineyard in 1999.

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Will visit again!

Delicious wine tasting and fun, knowledgeable host. Unpretentious and it's great to see the local businesses promoting each other. Looking forward to returning.

Outstanding wines. Outstanding location. We took a wine tour that had selected North Island wineries near Auckland. We particularly enjoyed this stop. Award winning wines in a beautiful setting. They were knowledgeable and served beautiful wines.
